Warm roof insulation for metal roofs
A warm roof puts continuous insulation above the structure and below the metal — no cold voids, no condensation risk, and thermal performance that meets current Building Regulations. We install rigid PIR (Kingspan-type) and mineral-wool warm-roof build-ups under standing seam and flat metal roofs, including on our GreenCoat PLX and PREFA warm-roof projects.

Metal roofs get noisy-condensation complaints only when the build-up is wrong. Acoustic quilts, vapour control layers and ventilated cavities are how we make a metal roof quiet and dry — specified in writing before work starts.

Do you install insulation on its own?
Our insulation work is normally part of a roofing or cladding package — that is where it performs best and where we can warranty the whole build-up. For standalone insulation enquiries, ask at survey and we will tell you honestly if we are the right contractor.
What insulation do you use under metal roofs?
igid PIR boards and mineral wool from Kingspan, Rockwool and Knauf, selected for the build-up: warm roofs, ventilated cold roofs, and rainscreen cavities. Fire rating drives the choice as much as U-value.
Why should I choose a zinc roof?
With little-to-no maintenance, a long lifespan, impressive durability, and natural corrosion resistance, a zinc roof is a fantastic choice for a wide range of roofing projects.
What are the pros and cons of aluminium roofing?
Often yes — overboarding with a warm-roof layer during a recover, or insulating from below where access allows. A survey establishes which is viable on your building.
What U-value will I get?
We specify to the target your project needs — Building Regulations minimums for refurbishments, better where the client wants it. The written quote names the build-up and the calculated U-value.
